MaxiRAW Samples Review

  • Sharebar

Ok so me and Jord were out and about and managed to get our greasy mitts on some free samples of a new product fromĀ MaxiRAW. We figured we’d grab it and give it a quick review on here.

Because they were just free sample sachets we can’t really give and in-depth review of the product in terms of how well it aided us, but we can yap on about the taste, texture and how well it mixes etc

The products we got included the BCAA apple & pear flavour and 2 protein samples, both raspberry ripple and chocolate flavour.

BCAA Apple & Pear
-Taste & Mix

I was quite excited to try the Apple and Pear flavour BCAA’s, simply because I haven’t tried this flavoured supplement before. The direction for use was any time before and after a workout. Recommended mix was 200-240ml water.

Usually I like my supplements to be quite a strong flavour but the taste seemed week and a little tasteless, Although this could be due to the fact I didn’t really measure the water before hand. However the drink was very refreshing and a good way to gain a little energy while working out that you wouldn’t get with water.

It mixed really easily compared to other BCAA supplements. As far as effectiveness it is hard to say considering I only had one drink however I don’t doubt it does the job. If I was buying a BCAA product I would definitely lean towards this one value wise as its the same price as all the other none flavoured supplements out there and not as boring to drink.

WPC precision protein, Raspberry Ripple/Chocolate

Firstly when I saw raspberry ripple in a protein form I initially thought it would taste more like a creatine drink, however I was pleasantly surprised and rated it quite highly as a protein in terms of taste although it was quite a thin texture.

Both flavours were very easily mixed with water. I personally don’t like drinking proteins with lots of water and usually its 300-500ml however the MaxiRAW protein only needs 150-200ml which i’m guessing from the one serving will stop me from getting that bloated feeling after a big shake which is value in its self. I felt the chocolate flavour was a little tasteless really compared to the raspberry ripple.

MaxiRAW is like a “value” range from Maximuscle, i’ve used maximuscle products alot but never MaxiRAW, think i’ll have to give it a try and see how it holds up. Have you ever used maximuscle? if so how do you feel they compare?

MaxiRAW WPC is far from being good. You will find plenty of better “value for money” supplements. Of course taste is a individual thing but labels don’t lie (maybe sometimes they do). I don’t see myself taking it for a long period of time. Just my 2 cents.
